Probably that should be explained...
It seems like turian jaws could open very wide by design. Like VERY wide, and obviously far beyond the races with mouth cavity covered by tissue feel comfortable about. Especially if there're few-inch long fangs included. A yawning turian could become a last thing seen before a massive heart attack.
Of course it's hard to do with a damaged jaw, but I think it's way more hilarious to do on a Cerberus vessel than on SR1.
